ABOUT THE COMPANY
Uzzap (“the Company”) is the Personal Information Controller for the data described in this notice, and handles personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
INFORMATION COLLECTED
- Account info: your email address and password, to create your account and log you in.
- Payment info (paid plans only): handled entirely by the Company's accredited third-party payment gateway. Card and bank details are not seen or stored by the Company.
- Page or post links: the platform page, account, or post URL submitted by the user for analysis.
HOW LINKS ARE ANALYZED
When you submit a page, account, or post URL, the Company collects the publicly available posts and comments on it for analysis. Private or restricted content is not accessed.
- Before analysis, automatic filters remove personal data and sensitive personal data (such as names, contact details, health information, or beliefs) belonging to the people in those posts and comments, to the extent reasonably possible.
PURPOSES OF USE
- Create, secure, and manage your account and log-in.
- Deliver the analysis service you request: sentiment, key themes, what audiences want, praises and criticisms, brand/comparative analysis, and executive summaries.
- Process payments for paid plans through the Company's payment partner.
- Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the platform, and provide support.
- Comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
INFORMATION SHARING
- The Company's accredited payment gateway: only the payment details needed to process the transaction.
- Trusted service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics tools) who process data on the Company's behalf, under confidentiality and data protection commitments.
- Government agencies or courts, only when required by law.
The Company does not sell personal data.
RETENTION PERIOD
- Retention: while your account is active, we use a 12 months retention period after closure for legal and audit purposes.
- Submitted links and analysis results: for as long as needed to deliver and support the service, then securely deleted or anonymized.
All data is stored on cloud-based servers. Once a retention period ends, data is removed from active systems and permanently erased from cloud storage and backups, typically within 30 to 90 days, following standard secure data-deletion practices, after which it cannot be recovered.
SECURITY MEASURES
- Encryption, access controls, and the personal-data filters described above, with regular review of the Company's safeguards.
YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE DPA
You have the right to be informed, to access and correct your data, to object to or withdraw consent for processing, to request erasure or blocking, to data portability, to compensation for damages, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
